Look at the goodie I found! From WFLD-TV in Chicago, circa 1984:



I love the improvised Civil Defense mark.

Here's another goodie, just to prove to everyone that Empire Carpets has never changed their phone number:



The first guest star in the commercial is best known as Svengoolie, to those of us who grew up in Chicago. All of them appear to be performed by Rich Koz, a Chicago celebrity. Here he is again, for Vampire Carpets:

I think it was made in the 1940s, actually. But, yeah, the technology wasn't particularly stunning, was it? Same with "Hardrock", my personal favorite...

Oh, I know! I think one of the funniest things I found was "The Producers" singing the "Smurfs" theme song. I'd look for the link, but I'm a bit busy atm & my computer's being a stupid misbehaving punk.
