Ferdy, as usual, does a fabulous job of comparing Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter.

Incidentally, the 1976 Presidential election was the first one I voted in. I wrote in "Neither Candidate Acceptable". I hadn't yet learned that you merely choose the less unacceptable candidate, and that voting for None Of The Above wouldn't amount to anything. Too bad.

Now if we could only get Congress to think it was a good idea, we'd have something to work with. Of course, this is something that could conceivably be done at a state level. After all, the states control the presidential electors, and thus could make their own rules for who they send. Hmmm...
