Day By Day focuses on one of the members of The Most. Ethical. Congress. EVAR! (With apologies to Belle.)

Cox & Forkum on some saber rattling in the Middle East.

Attack Cartoons on Iraq conspiracy theories.

Gaggle on Congressional takeovers, then and now.

Yesterday's Get Fuzzy really got me laughing. What was funny was that it was hanging over the urinal at O'Charley's. I know, too much information.

Oh, and one of my correspondents (you know who you are) sent me this song parody. I love song parodies.

I think Gaggle would have been funnier if the 2006 panel had someone from Fox News saying the same thing as in the 1994 panel, though obviously changing Democrats for Republicans.

The whole point of the cartoon was to compare what the mainstream media were saying in 1994 to what they're saying today. But then, you knew that, didn't you?

Of course I knew that. And while I understand that we've never had a female speaker of the house before so it's a historic occasion, even I was getting tired of hearing Pelosi described as if she were there so save us all (why do I have the Mighty Mouse theme running through my head now?). I believe that - in general - the Democrats may be less corrupt than the Republicans, but they're still politicians.

And considering their market share shouldn't Fox News be considered a part of the "mainstream media"?

A part of the mainstream media that didn't exist in 1994, as far as I know. And there are plenty in the mainstream media who consider it in the same terms as talk radio.

What sad, twisted, and tortured soul sent you that song parody? TELL ME, I want to have her... I mean him or her...arrested for aggravated insensitivity. We decent people like to pretend that terrorists are just as likely to be blue eyed grandmas as middle eastern men. And we do not like being made sport of.

I don't really blame them, I'd be kind of curious about that myself. But of course I'd be way too shy to ask. So, um.... what do you tell them?

Oh yeah. Now I remember why I don't ask those questions.
