I'll confess--I love that piece...

But even I'll admit that it's been done to death.

Hubster and I are rolling on the floor...laughing. No, not the other thing.

***snicker***

PS: Hubster played cello, I played viola...and this guy is perfectly right about the melody lines we played.

What a funny video. I always equate Canon in D as the song that people who don't know anything about music tend to recognize and note as the song most beloved....sort of like "Shakespeare! Yeah...he was that writer guy!". "Pachabel's Canon...yeah...that's that classical song . I know that one. I love it. " (yawn) I used to play it on the piano accompanied by cello...and we would chanage it all around...faster, slower, up...down. It was our own comedy routine.

Hey...love those pics of you on your web site! What a cute kid.

Well, frankly...I don't think what I said came out the way I meant it to. I sounded sort of like a brat. Sorry. What I was talking about was playing it and how it repeats itself over and over and over. A lot of musicians will learn this piece and put it out there like it's some huge accomplishment when it is almost as simple to play as chopsticks.
