All politics aside... @ 04:24 pm

Keep Teddy Kennedy, who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor and his family in your prayers. Cancer of any type is a terrible disease, and no one deserves to suffer with it. I've seen too much of it in my own family.

And a brain tumor is particularly horrible: Death comes too slowly to be painless, and too quickly to be overcome in many, even most, cases. When I was working as a traveling support rep for a software provider to support reps, one of the clerks at a county government was stricken with a brain tumor. When I saw him last, he was fine; and no indication that he had a disease. A few months later, when I visited his office again, he was gone.

I can't really say anything more. Politics is politics, but Kennedy doesn't deserve this.

I've known a couple of people who had brain tumors, and it is just awful. No one deserves that kind of death.

On an unrelated, and completely different, note, Happy Belated Birthday!

Absolutely. This puts politics in perspective. I'm rearing that Teddy had an enormous capacity for personal generosity. I'm praying for him and his family.
