The head of training wanted to make sure that I wasn't just looking to his company to support myself, and that I understood that I was free to conduct my business in whatever manner that I wanted. I appreciate his telling me that; I'm relatively new at the contracting business, and I want to make an honest go of it, and that's going to entail selling my services whenever and wherever I can. So, after the first of the year, I'm going to focus on creating opportunities for myself. It's been good to have help while I'm just getting my feet on the ground, not only people helping me find work but also people mentoring me and encouraging me to make a niche for myself in the training world. I've been a bit unfocused as I've been finding my way, leaning in whatever direction seems to provide me with an opportunity. While I'll continue to examine any opportunities that arise, I want to be sure to determine what I'm going to focus on.
Enough blather about work.
I didn't sleep well last night. Hopefully I'll make it up tonight.
