I don't exist...?

OK, since I didn't post anything yesterday (my bad), I'll play along with Twila, Mickey and Simon:

John is the #2 most common male name.
3.271% of men in the US are named John.
Around 4006975 US men are named John!

Holton is the #2408 most common last name.
0.005% of last names in the US are Holton.
Around 12500 US last names are Holton!

And, I'll throw in my middle name, just for fun:

Connelly is the #1683 most common last name.
0.007% of last names in the US are Connelly.
Around 17500 US last names are Connelly!

So, let's figure this out: There are 281,421,906 people in the United States (285,230,516 if you include Puerto Rico). For the sake of argument, let's assume that half are men (NameStatistics used 49 percent). By my figuring, that would make 230 John Holtons in the US. That would mean myself and my cousin and 228 other John Holtons running around out there. There's a scary thought.

Taking this one step further, there are .016 John Connelly Holtons in the US...hm, let's round that up to 1.
