So far, the trip to Chicago is going well. The drive up was relatively uneventful on Sunday and Monday, and we spent some time at the building today cleaning up and gathering together some things that we want to bring home with us. Mary did see a couple of stray cats outside of the hotel we stayed at on Sunday night, who may be coming home with us if they're still there when we pass through there again. God help us.
We were out and about this afternoon, and I happened to stop at Sam Ash, and needless to say, I had to walk out with something: a hollow-body D'Aquisto knockoff. It just spoke to me, and Mary was there egging me on, and, well, one thing led to another. I'd been frustrated lately that I hadn't had the time or the inclination to play much guitar; I guess these things have a way of working out sometimes.
Tomorrow we get the space heaters cleaned, load some things into the van, and have dinner with my brother and sister-in-law. Hopefully, we're on the road on Thursday.
I just noticed that the two entries before this one were done exactly twelve hours apart. Cool, huh?
