I've been off the air for a few days. I unplugged my modem and router on Monday afternoon and didn't get around to plugging them back in until last night. I will probably be going back off the air in about an hour, so that I can finish cleaning this place and get everything back to where it belongs.
I made a lot of progress on Monday and did nothing or very little in here on Tuesday and Wednesday. Typically I don't believe in evil spirits or lousy feng shui, but I'll be honest, I felt a real sense of heaviness come over me by the end of the day on Monday as I was digging things out of closets, cleaning things off of tables, etc. The feeling has dissipated over the last couple of days, and now I feel that I can continue and perhaps finish up today.
I have no explanation for the feelings of heaviness other than that there was so much crap in here that I had just been holding on to that it finally just got the better of me. I still have two boxes full of training manuals from my old company that are in the other closet (the one that doesn't have shelves) that need to be taken to the trash, but I managed to get rid of nearly everything that was a reminder of the old job, and it's all now sitting out by the curb. Thursday is garbage day, don't you know.
I slept really badly last night. I'm going to have to stop going to Starbucks and drinking two triple venti lattes after about one in the afternoon. Needless to say, I meet with my personal trainer again this evening; maybe I can get a nap in before I have to go. You know, working out with a personal trainer has been very good for me, but I have to say that having to fit my life around his schedule has really sucked. By seven in the evening I really have no desire to go and pick up heavy things for my health. I only have 9 more sessions with him before my contract is up, and I've already paid for them, so I'll just grin and bear it, do the best I can and try not to tear his head off.
Mary's jury duty lasted all of one day. After showing up the first day and being called into court but not selected, she was told to call in on Monday evening, Tuesday morning and evening, and yesterday morning, when she got the message that she had completed her commitment and that a check and a certificate would be in the mail.
Well, back to the cleanup.
majkia, the next part will be on its way shortly; I'll be sure to get it to you before I unplug the modem again.
