I must be crazy...I'm a little over half way through my week with my student in Japan, and a little less than half way through the material. I'm going to have to find a way to economize.

In any event, it's almost 3 AM here, and I need to go to bed. TV writing class went very well. I like hearing that I made people laugh. Since "There's the rub" is a sitcom, that's very important.

Talk at you tomorrow.

Former major league pitcher Rick Mahler dies at 51

When I moved to Atlanta in late 1987, I knew that I would be getting the majority of my baseball fix by watching the Braves, and went to the season opener the following April. Rich Mahler was the starting pitcher in that game, and at the time he was the ace of the staff (of course, the Braves went 54-106 that year, so that's not saying much). Seeing this is weird.

The fact that he wasn't that much older than I is even stranger.
