The Top One List has this Top One Hollywood Hypocrisy. Those of us who are writers, particularly budding screenwriters, should take heed. (Speaking of which, has anyone noticed that CBS will be replacing "Courting Alex" with "The New Adventures of the Old Christine"?)

An interesting article on employer provided health care by Daniel Weintraub. He says the same thing that I've been saying for the last couple of years.

I'm listening to an album that I downloaded from eMusic called Terry Gibbs and Buddy DeFranco Play Steve Allen. I'm assuming, if you're my age, you know who Steve Allen is (writer, comic, talk show host, raconteur, musician/composer, and hero to yours truly). Terry Gibbs plays the vibraphone, Buddy DeFranco plays the clarinet, and they were both in the band that played for Steve Allen's TV show in the 70's. Anyway, I'm listening through headphones, and I noticed that the lower register of Terry's vibraphone is playing in the left channel, the higher register in the right channel, so you get this sense that you're sitting right in the middle of it...

I know. I'm strange.
