Thursday funnies:

Dilbert is funny, if a bit of a non sequitur.

Get Fuzzy is great. Where does he come up with these lines? I wish I had the time to sit around and think things like this up.

Luann, no longer disturbing in an Electra-complex sort of way, pays tribute to my favorite baseball team. Now, I think Chicago is a great name for a cat. You could call it Chi, as in Chi Coltrane, the one hit wonder from the 1970s, who is evidently still active.

Today's topic at Cox & Forkum: The Weapon of the Weak

Have a good one. (I've never been able to figure that phrase out...)

I went to the doctor today. I'm down to 344 lbs. Considering that the last two times I went to the doctor, she couldn't even weigh me with her scale, which would put me up over 350 somewhere, this is really good. Plus, my blood pressure is nearly normal (144/83; still high on the systolic, but right in line on the diastolic). And, I'm doing much better in general. She was so happy, she didn't even charge me for the visit. (It was more of a recheck than anything, actually, although I needed to get a few things.)

So, I'm feeling better, I can actually walk a considerable distance without having to take a break every ten feet, and while I still have around 150 lbs to lose (that's 70 kilohertz for the metric freaks, 11 stone for those of you who keep track of that sort of thing), I'm heading in the right direction.
