We went to the movies yesterday afternoon, and saw Madea's Family Reunion. I really enjoyed it. Tyler Perry was, as always, hilarious as Madea, her brother Joe, and her lawyer/grandson (I think) Brian, wonderful cameo performances by Cicely Tyson and Maya Angelou, and it's always good to see actors like Boris Kodjoe, Henry Simmons and Blair Underwood. Review later, maybe, if I feel up to it.

The weather's been gorgeous here. A little cool, but bright and sunny. Wonder what I'm walking into in Topeka next week?

By the way, I'm very happy to say that Out of Practice, which I really liked, is coming back to CBS in a couple of weeks, on Wednesday nights, followed by Courting Alex, which displaced it. Throw in Criminal Minds and CSI: NY and you've got a pretty good night of TV there.

The Unit looks good. Too bad it's on opposite House. Guess I'll have to tape The Unit.

Spent most of the day hanging out, trying not to go home. Went for a walk, went to the library, went to Chili's for lunch, then hung out at Starbucks most of the afternoon. I read Kelsey Grammer's memoir, So Far..., and was impressed by what he had endured throughout his life, although I got the sense that he skimmed over the tabloid type stuff, which is his right. I also did a lot of writing (a Mary Cecelia story, which I may or may not post to Ghostletters), and read about half of Syd Fields' Screenplay. In all, an enjoyable day. We'll probably do more of the same tomorrow.

Have a good evening.
