These things can never be easy, can they? I was working with the Mac yesterday, and after a couple of hours, I kept getting a message telling me to shut down and restart. This morning, I've tried a couple of times, and I get no video. And Apple's not going to be in for another half hour or so. Oh, well....

Oh, well. I got on the phone with Apple this morning and talked with them, and we all came to the conclusion that the machine I got was defective. So, they're going to send me a link to a shipping label to send this one back. They've promised that, when they get confirmation from FedEx that it's on its way, they'll put a new one together and send it to me. So, if I get the label by this afternoon, I can get it to Kinko's in time for their last pickup, which should put my order on someone's bench first thing Tuesday AM.

It's worth waiting for, if my brief encounter with Mac OS X is any indication. It's a lot like Red Hat Linux from what I've seen, but prettier and more efficient.

So, it's back to the world of Windows for now.
