Chief Jack's Galley

There's a place for people who laugh at nothing...

(no subject) @ 07:31 pm

We got back at about 4:30 this afternoon. The cats were suitably unimpressed, but we were happy to be home.

All in all, it was a good trip. The weather was good for most of it; it was overcast and drizzly for most of Saturday, Sunday and when we left on Monday, but it quickly cleared up and we had good weather for driving. We spent last night in Clarksville, TN; our accommodations there were probably the most comfortable of anyplace on the trip, so we woke up this morning unusually refreshed and happy. The only downside was that we had no remote for the TV in our room, which was actually a blessing in disguise, because I was able to watch Two and a Half Men and CSI: Miami without Mary flipping through the channels every ten minutes to find something in the true crime vein on one of the other channels.

We saw my brother Pat and his family (sister-in-law Annette, son Matthew, and dog Baxter) on Sunday. That was the highlight of the trip. That, and getting home today.

I'm not due back at work until Thursday. It might be a good time to try and get my office cleaned up.

Welcome Home!

So, were y'all on the last train to Clarksville?

(it's not my fault; bad jokes have been escaping from my mouth all day)

Thanks again for reminding me of the Ghostletters change-over; there's quite a bit of activity! It's neat to catch-up, and feels great to give Cody a written voice again.

You're welcome. It's wonderful to have you back in all forms. Speaking of Cody, he was the one that Flan married to Gabriel, wasn't he? Just making sure.

Yes, that's Cody. They're still happily married; Gabe is simply *elsewhere/elsewhen*.
