Class didn't exactly end on a high note; I got crapped on by a couple of the students on the evaluations, in particular by a person who felt he knew everything, resented the fact that I did a review of what they already knew because there were several new people in the class, and clearly had no desire to be there. Why do they feel that they have to take it out on me? I know, it's not the first time this has happened to me, nor will it be the last, but I take these things personal. (Another guy, who incidentally was the biggest pain in the ass, flat-out refused to do an eval, because he had to actually write something rather than just circle numbers on the page.) I know that I shouldn't take these things personally, but you know, I do, because the evals are how I get paid.
Enough. I'm taking today off, more or less (in other words, I'm not going in to the office), and pick up with the certification class tomorrow. No rest for the wicked, which is good, in a way; the more I work, the more I get paid.
Have a good day.
