One of those days: overcast, raw, windy. The kind of day that makes it easy to work. Or, not to, as the case might be. I didn't manage to get a whole lot done.

I had to take Milton to the vet today to have his teeth cleaned, and they discovered ear mites. Given the size of Milton's ears, that can be a problem, so needless to say we're treating him and a few others that have been scratching a lot.

Here are a couple more kitty pictures for y'all. First, pictures of our two calicos, Tuffy and Li'l Linda.

Here's Linda.

Here's Tuffy, demonstrating that she can touch her nose with her tongue.

And, here's another of Tuffy, with Pepper in the background.

And, boy, don't they know it. Rarely can either Mary or I get close to either of the calicos. Tuffy will pretty much only let us near her when Pepper's around, Li'l Linda even less frequently than that. It's like we have cooties or something.

The Linda she's named after ain't so little, either.

So, how and where have you been? I don't think I've seen hide nor hair of you for almost a year. I hope all is well.

I've been fine enough compared to the general level of suffering in the US and the world these days, I am thankful for what I have.

Up and down with my health and fitness, tore my plantar fascia on the right heel and that took a LONG time to heal. 9 months, with a wheel chair part of the time to help it along.

a little slide into depression with some meds changes,

Active in helping with Katrina, and my son is growing so big. 11.

I don't write much anymore. And I need to write. I really do.

Oh, and we keep 4 chickens now in our back yard, get fresh eggs and wouldn't your kitties like to come visit us?

I watched you work through your job issues.

And I still giggle when it's talk like a pirate day. Yar!

And what about those Chicago white sox, eh? 2005 World Series champs,
who'da thunk it?

Linda

Oh, they make me want to grab 'em, snuggle them up to my face and talk baby talk! So freakin' cute. (Even though they aren't dogs.)

I know, aren't they? Of course, they'd probably freak out if you picked them up and snuggled them to your face. Well, not Pepper; she LOVES that sort of attention. I've decided that my two calico ladies are for show, not for snuggling.

People are always amazed that animals take to me the way they do. But I've had the occasional cat try to take my eye out, too! So I'll just look and not touch. You hug 'em for me if they let you near!!

I'm working on posting pictures of all of them, eventually.
