I'm finally close to back to normal (a relative term, as most of you know). My right ear is pretty well unclogged; the gland on the left side is still kind of swollen, but not to the degree that it was yesterday, and while I still can't hear much out of it, I have no pain there (certainly not like the other night).

I've worked on and off the last few days, dedicating an hour or so a day to a couple of projects. Unlike the days when I would get all codependent over not being able to work due to illness, I don't feel guilty about the lack of productivity. I have little or no time to bill this week, and I figure I'll pick it up somewhere else eventually, so I'm not concerned.

Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts, and in one case "heathen energy". I appreciate it and your concern.

Getting better feels so good. It is good to hear you are feel'n better.

You're not kidding, especially in light of how miserable I was earlier in the week. I can deal with a little hearing loss as long as there's no pain involved, although the hearing loss is a bit disturbing. It figures that this is the time that I most want to listen to music and play the guitar, doesn't it?

You're doing better than I am; I've noticed no improvement at all with the Flo Nase. Not in my hearing at any rate: my sinuses have never felt better. Silver lining, I guess.

Maybe they figure that, since they have no clue what's wrong with you, they'll make you comfortable and hope that it gets better by the next time you can get in and see a doctor.

I don't know about you, but this deafness, however temporary, really sucks, you know?
