I went to the optometrist yesterday and had my eyes checked, and apparently I have something known as epithelial basement membrane dystrophy (EBMD), which basically means that my eyes get irritated and watery, particularly in the morning. He said that it wasn't much of a big deal, apart from the watery eyes, and if it got worse then he could prescribe some stuff to take care of it. He also found a dark spot on my retina, which he said could have been caused by a virus or by being hit in the head once upon a time. (No doubt most of you would choose the latter.) Also, no big deal. The glasses are nice; they're partially rimless and wide enough to fit my giant heed, and they come with magnetic clip-on sunglasses. A bit pricey, but then I guess they have to make up for all of the people who are now getting discounts. My eyes don't change that much, so these should hold me for a couple of years.

I'm starting to hear swishy sounds in my ear again. I still have most of the antibiotic from the last time I went in, so I'll try and knock it out that way.

It's cold and rainy out. A good day to sit around and read, maybe write, maybe get some work done, or maybe even clean my office.
