You know, greyhound rescue is a big thing here in my area. We see a lot of them at the vet's office (which, as you can imagine, we spend a lot of time in), and, while they do appear a bit nervous, they're really very sweet tempered and good with families. I think they're kind of cool, myself.

I love poodles. The people downstairs from us in Chicago had a toy poodle named Buttons who would spend Sunday evenings with us while his people were out working, and he was just great. They were originally bred as hunting dogs, so not only are they smart, they're a much less delicate breed than you would think. If I had a dog, it'd be a poodle.

The poodle we had when we were kids was named Buttons!
He was a great dog.
