There's a place for people who laugh at nothing...

I got a lot of work done today, along with teaching one particular section that was giving my two compatriots fits. After the day was done, we had a good old fashioned instructor bitch session. I think they've done fine, and while their product knowledge is still a little thin, I felt that they acquitted themselves well. It wasn't good enough for some of the members of the class, apparently, so I sat and listened. I do that well. You'd be surprised.

Got home, had a piece of chicken for dinner, updated a story that one of my fellow Ghostletters people and I have been working on for about a year (waving at magnetox1), and now I'm sitting, listening to Paul Jackson, Jr. play his guitar as only Paul Jackson, Jr. can play it. I'd really like to get back to playing the guitar sometime soon, like while I'm still relatively young.

You know what I've discovered? This Internet thing takes a lot of time that I could use doing something more productive, like writing, playing the guitar, working, reading, exercising, watching TV, spending time with Mary (a moot point this evening, since she's in class). I've discovered that it's becoming more of a distraction than anything. Give it up? One can never tell. I do think that I need to use more of my time doing things that are productive. Just a thought.

In fact, I'm off to do one or two of those things. Good night!

I'm giving serious thought to doing the same. It's hard to do when your work requires that you have a more or less constant connection to the Internet, but I'm determined to do so at some point.
