Ferdy points out the intricacies of government accounting in this entry. I lived in Illinois for most of my life. Most of my family still lives there. This doesn't surprise me.

Tom G. Palmer has this Libertarian Ode to Coffee. Also this about the rate of return of lobbying.

The Top One List has this Top One Hollywood Hypocrisy. Those of us who are writers, particularly budding screenwriters, should take heed. (Speaking of which, has anyone noticed that CBS will be replacing "Courting Alex" with "The New Adventures of the Old Christine"?)

Um... yeah. That's why I officially copyright anything I submit BEFORE I submit it. And that means sending it off to Uncle Sam. No "poor man's copyright" protection for me. You can try WGA registration, but that doesn't provide full protection... Usually, I end up doing both, since going through the Copyright Office takes a long time.
