Birthday #50 went well on Saturday. We had a quiet day--actually a quiet weekend. We went out to our favorite Italian restaurant and I had Chicken Parmesan. OK, not officially on the diet, but it was good. Maybe because it wasn't on the diet.
We're off to Chicago to check on the building on Saturday. I'll have a laptop with me, so I'll stay in touch, and probably will even get some work done. I hope so; I haven't gotten much done lately.
I checked out some of the names that I found on TrustFlow, and was surprised to see that the one to which I'm the closest mentioned something about wanting to write to Lana Dean, who, like Mary Cecelia, is one of my Ghostletters characters. It took a minute, but I realized that the journal belonged to micklpickl, who I haven't heard from in a while. Mick, if you're out there, check Ghostletters in a few minutes, Lana's going to write to Cody, if you're interested. I recognized a lot of the names on the list, though I feel funny about just "friending" them. I thought that the whole idea of Graph Theory, on which the TrustFlow was based, was interesting, and might make a good topic for an episode of Numb3rs...looks like I'll have to do some research on it...
You know, I've decided, subsequent to this entry from early Saturday morning, I'm just going to go ahead and follow my dream of writing for television. I don't even particularly care if I don't sell anything, it's something I've always wanted to do and, frankly, no one can stop me. Who knows? Lightning could strike. I'll continue with my other writing (novels, screenplays, etc.), but I gotta do this. Just once. Thanks to all who voiced encouragement and who helped me bitch about it. I think that the power structure in the entertainment industry is going to change, because I think that tastes are changing and that there's a market out there that isn't being tapped.
Yep, there's that dirty word "market" again.
Anyway, that's all for now. Guess there wasn't that much to talk about after all.
