Chief Jack's Galley

There's a place for people who laugh at nothing...

Friday cartoons:

Ipso Facto is on one of my favorite topics.

Not technically a cartoon, but Evil Glenn Reynolds is interviewing Osama bin Laden on his podcast, courtesy of Basil's Blog. Basil lives in beautiful Columbus, GA, home, as he will tell you, of the Columbus Catfish.

4 Block World is about Memorable TV Law Enforcement Characters. vidente would like this one.

Jan and Damon compare situations in today's Day By Day.

Cox & Forkum reveal to us the real recycling problem. Worth reading the commentary.

Gaggle features a day in the life of New York Times editor Bill Keller.

Dilbert reminds me of the old Night Gallery episode, where the guy dies and ends up in hell. Remember that one?

Big Nate has been about Coach John all week, but today's is particularly funny.

Ralph Drabble seems to be as befuddled by Home Depot as I am. In my case, it comes genetically; my father didn't know which end of a screwdriver to use, either. Oh, I can tear apart a computer and put it back together bliindfolded, but can I do anything to keep Toby from sticking his paw under the door? Apart from having a vague idea of what I need to do...well, anyway.

Bucky has decided on a new career path in today's Get Fuzzy.

Pearls Before Swine reminds me of the time a client sent some plane tickets via courier, who...well, was gorgeous...

Mike's client decides to take a shortcut to weight loss in today's Unfit.

Jay is finally catching on in today's Working Daze.

Anyway, I'm off to the deck to let my computer drive me crazy. Ah, springtime in the South. See you tomorrow.

4 Block World...

OK, I can somewhat remember Jack Webb and Harry Morgan (that was either
still on when I was little, or they were showing reruns) DUM DA DUM...DUM DA DUM DA DUM...DUM DA DUM... "This is the city. Los Angeles, California.
(?) million people work here. I'm one of them. I carry a badge." (that's
as close as I can remember it, anyway, the wording could be off)
Anyway, I have no idea who the other two are or what show they were from...??

Re: 4 Block World...

He was the star of such shows as "World's Wildest Police Shootouts". Here's his biography from IMDb. Don't feel badly, I didn't know who he was either.
