Wednesday funnies, before I go to the office:

My parents and my grandmother and her sister were avid bridge players, which is why I like today's 4-Block World so much. I swear, I would read Omar Sharif's column in the newspaper regularly, and I could never figure the game out.

Donald Rumsfeld tricks the tricksters in today's Day By Day.

The president gets a letter from the president of Iran in Cox & Forkum.

Pope Katie Couric? See today's Gaggle.

Dogbert explains the ways of the wealthy in today's Dilbert.

Drabble reminds me of trying to get out of one of those long middle rows on an L-1011.

I mention Unfit only because Mike Belkin (the cartoonist) seems to be taking a hint from Joe Martin, who drew, among many others, "Willie 'n' Ethel". Joe would use all kinds of goofy patterns for the clothes that his character wore, as if they had been cut out of catalogues.

Working Daze recycles an old support joke.

That's it for today. See you tomorrow.
