I've made my arrangements for Singapore. I'll be flying around the world, as it so happens...I'll be going Atlanta-Chicago-Hong Kong-Singapore on the way over, and Singapore-Paris-Atlanta on the way back. I have pretty lousy seats on the return flight, but I don't plan on being awake for most of it. I arrive in Singapore at 11:30 PM on Saturday, meaning that I won't get to the hotel until around 2. My return flight is at 11:30 PM on Wednesday. This means I'll spend just about as much time getting there as I will being at the client site. In fact, I'll be at the client for 24 hours, and in the air for 44. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Anyone who thinks that business travel is glamorous hasn't done much of it.
Today went very well at work. Tomorrow will go even better, and I'm almost done. Whee!
