I'm in Hong Kong now, after 15 hours in the air, during which we flew over the North Pole, which came as a surprise. I figured it out: it probably is closer to fly over Canada, Siberia, Mongolia and China than it is to go across the Pacific, and less time consuming.

I have a couple of hours to wait here. More when I get to Singapore.
