I swear, I had this conversation with the guy at the front desk in the hotel about half an hour ago:
Me: (I hand him a ten dollar bill) Could I get a five and five singles, please?
Him: (walks over to the cash drawer, looks at me, looks at the money, looks in the drawer, looks back at me) How about five ones and a five?
OK, it's early, and he was probably up all night...
