I did get the chance to be a good neighbor. A young woman who had been traveling in Lebanon and who was on her way home to New York had no idea where her gate was, only that she was flying on Delta. Since I was flying home on Delta as well, I was able to help her get to her gate. Airports can be confusing places, particularly if you don't spend much time in them, and Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris is confusing even under the best of conditions.
Anyway, I got to Atlanta, went through immingration and customs, then had to go through another security screen in order to get out of the airport. I mean, come on...
