There's a place for people who laugh at nothing...

I got home at 4 this afternoon, Mary and I went out to dinner, then came home, where I immediately fell asleep on the couch. It's going to take me a while to get over the jet lag, but was the trip successful? Yes. Did I do a good job? Absolutely. Was being on a plane for 22 hours yesterday, with three hour break in Paris, tiring? You betcha.

I did get the chance to be a good neighbor. A young woman who had been traveling in Lebanon and who was on her way home to New York had no idea where her gate was, only that she was flying on Delta. Since I was flying home on Delta as well, I was able to help her get to her gate. Airports can be confusing places, particularly if you don't spend much time in them, and Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris is confusing even under the best of conditions.

Anyway, I got to Atlanta, went through immingration and customs, then had to go through another security screen in order to get out of the airport. I mean, come on...

Anyway, I'm here.

All that worrying was for naught. Here you are safe and sound if a bit tired. Good to see you are home.

Welcome home, world traveler! Guess the customs agents didn't get my message about the suspicious ponytailed dude, then. I was looking forward to a minor international incident. ;)

I am so glad you are home! Sounds like the trip was a success - cannot wait to hear more!

And are you sure that second security check was to let you OUT of the airport. Knowing Atlanta - maybe you should have failed and they could have kept you IN the airport ...

BWA HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Sigh.

Sorry. I am suffering from a serious case of Teh Stoopyd.
