I did something today that I've been meaning to do: I backed up my laptop's hard drive. It took about 1.5 hours and used 8 DVDs. So, I decided, let's back up the hard drive on my desktop, which I plan on replacing (with a Mac) in the very near future. The Nero software estimated that the backup of the hard drive would take approximately 12 DVDs, so I figure, great, it'll take about 2-2.5 hours.

Right now, the backup has been running for 1.5 hours, and we're barely through the first DVD. Talk about slow......
