We're home!

I didn't sleep well at all last night (too much caffeine, which is a no-no for me and my blood pressure anyway), but we managed to make it home at about 4 this afternoon. It was gray and overcast most of the way home, which made it hard to stay awake, but I didn't drift off too badly. Mary read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix all the way home, so she was quiet and not checking the speedometer or overreacting to people's brake lights as much. That's a good thing.

One thing that I did discover was every time that traffic slowed down, invariably an elderly driver with Florida license plates was at the head of the line. Maybe I just noticed it more this trip. At least none of them tried backing up on the Interstate (I saw that on the Florida Turnpike once), although one gentleman (with Tennessee plates, but fitting the general description above) managed to cut across the Interstate on the access road and pull into the left lane (which I was occupying at the time) doing about 40 MPH (that's 64 for you metric types). That was fun.

Off to pay the cat sitter. See you later.
