You won't typically hear me complain about this, but there was a woman at the health club this morning who was making quite a show of herself. She was dressed in a very skimpy outfit and had a rather nice if surgically enhanced figure, and was nearly falling out of her clothes as she worked out. As I said, I normally don't complain about things like that, but there was something particularly disturbing about it. It just didn't seem appropriate. Am I getting old?
I figured out what my problem was last night: I need to clean and re-arrange my office in the worst possible way. There is some seriously screwed up energy in here. It's like I haven't purged the place of my old job yet. There's crap all over the tables, which is just plain wrong, and I know it is. My desk chair is actually a recliner, which is fine for sitting and reading or watching television, but I have to sit on the edge of it to use the computer, and it's not very comfortable. I want to install some track lighting in here, because the lighting I have is terrible, and I want to replace one of my tables with the desk that was part of my bedroom set that I brought here after my mother died. It was actually a vanity, but I used it as a desk when I was growing up, and I've been wanting to put it under the window in my office, but I met some resistance. I spent a lot of time planning the cleanup last night in bed while I wasn't sleeping, so I have a good plan of attack. I might be off the air in the early part of next week while I'm doing all of this, so don't worry about me.
Mary has jury duty next week. I don't know if she's going to have to physically be there all week, or if she'll be allowed to call in every day and find out whether or not they need her. Guess she'll find out Monday when she goes in. She wants to get up at 5 AM every day and work out for half an hour. I'm willing to do it; I'm dying to see if she'll manage to make it.
I slept through most of the ballgame this afternoon, which was probably just as well, since the Braves lost. It's getting to be a little tiresome, you know?
Oh, well. Off to do stuff.
